THE TRUE FREEDOM LEARNING CENTER
BASEBALL ACADEMY
What is the purpose of the Baseball Academy?
The True Freedom Learning Center Baseball Academy is a free of charge program designed for children and pre-teens (6 through 12 years of age) and focused upon physical, spiritual and social growth through baseball.
The program will enhance the children’s life-knowledge by stressing the importance of physical fitness, social skills and core Christian values.
In this way we hope to further serve our community by assisting our children to lead healthy, happy and productive lives.
How is the program structured?
The athletes will begin the day with a prayer and a brief inspirational lesson. Then they will break off into age appropriate groups where
coaches will lead them through stretches and exercises. The athletes
will then be assigned their practice stations. If a student needs more
work on a fundamental skill, the coach may have him/her remain at
the station before progressing to the next section. The players
will then rotate until they come back to the initial training station.
(All volunteers are subjected to a thorough background check).
Schedule (Session 1)
Dates: Jan. 28, Feb. 4, 11, 18, 25, Mar. 3
Times: 12:00 – 2:00
Location: Kingsland Lions Park
If the weather is inclement and the fields are wet, the Academy will be cancelled for that day. There will not be any make-up sessions for the cancelled sessions.
What to bring?
Each athlete will need to bring a water bottle, a baseball glove and a bat
(if they have one) and suitable baseball attire.
Most importantly, bring an “I CAN” attitude, prepare to work hard and, above all, have FUN!
